BACKGROUND

My path to SyntoTech wasn't a straight line, and that's exactly the point. I studied Energy Systems Engineering — a genuinely multidisciplinary degree spanning electrical, mechanical, environmental, and civil engineering — and stayed involved beyond the classroom as a member of the IEEE Kocaeli Student Branch and the ESMK Kocaeli Student Branch. I tested the degree itself across three very different placements: maintenance and production planning at a state power utility, thermal plant operations at a private energy company, and full solar project delivery — design, pricing, installation, and after-sales support — at a renewables firm. Seeing the same energy system from a maintenance desk, a control room, and a construction site taught me to read any business the same way: as interlocking parts, not a single problem to patch. Alongside the engineering, I was always working. Waiting tables and running laundry service in Turkish hotels since I was a teenager. Lifeguarding on a student exchange in the US. Later, solar sales — pricing and closing projects with customers, then coordinating installs and after-sales support end-to-end, domestic and international. When I relocated to Melbourne in 2023, I started again from zero: an English course, then warehouse work, roofing, solar installation, driving — rebuilding a professional footing in a new country and a second language, one unfamiliar job at a time. That range is where the observation comes from — quickly reading an unfamiliar system for what's actually wrong, not just what it looks like on the surface. It's also where the project management and communication come from: learned by pricing real jobs, managing installs remotely, and earning a room of strangers' trust fast. The same discipline shows up outside of work too — folk dance, swimming, tennis, football, rock climbing, taekwando — different sports, but the same habit of staying balanced under pressure and adjusting technique in real time until something works. SyntoTech's assessment-first model exists because of all of it — I've been on the floor, in the sales room, and in the engineering brief, and I bring all three views to every client.
